Shiva Murugan Temple

Shiva Murugan Temple is a traditional Saivite Hindu temple located in Concord, California, offering worship services, pujas, and community events. It was originally established in San Francisco in 1957, making it the oldest Hindu temple in the United States, and moved to its current Concord location in 1987 after converting a church building. The temple is currently constructing a new Agamic South Indian temple building, expected to open in May 2025, and is managed by a nonprofit board with support from both native-born and immigrant Hindu communities.
