Sri Ganesha Temple Plano

Sri Ganesha Temple Plano is a vibrant, non-profit Hindu temple and community center serving the North Texas Hindu diaspora. Established in 2006 under the banner of the Hindu Temple of North Texas (HTNT), the Temple began in a modest rented space in Plano — with initial consecrations of deities such as Sri Ganesha and Lord Shiva.

Over time, the Temple expanded — adding Prana Prathishtapana (consecrations) for multiple deities including Sri Murugan, Sri Krishna, Sri Ayyappa, Sri Hanuman, Sri Venkateswara, Sri Durga, along with their associated divine families and parivara devas.

Situated now at 6508 K-Avenue, Plano, TX 75074, the Temple sits on a 10-acre land parcel — a testament to the growth and commitment of the local Hindu community.

Beyond daily rituals and worship services, Sri Ganesha Temple Plano fosters spiritual learning and cultural continuity through its educational wing, Vidya Vihar, which offers classes for children (pre-school through high school) in prayers, bhajans, religious stories, and cultural education, aligning learning with temple festivals and community events.

The Temple’s long-term vision includes constructing a permanent temple complex — featuring a main temple building (12,000+ sq ft, air-conditioned), gopurams, granite idols per each deity, a Yagnashala (homam hall), multipurpose hall with kitchen, administrative offices, and a cultural center.

Through its architecture, pujas, festivals, classes, and community outreach, Sri Ganesha Temple Plano serves as a spiritual, cultural, and social hub — welcoming devotees of all ages and backgrounds, nurturing devotion, preserving heritage, and strengthening community bonds across generations in North Texas.
